Active Isolated Stretching

Physio Lab’s Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), or Stretch Therapy, is designed to help you recover from the impact of your workouts and strain of daily life. AIS specifically targets areas of tension, increases circulation, reduces injury risk, and promotes faster healing times. Stretch Therapy is a great way to get the most out of your body and move faster and more efficiently.

At Physio Lab, our Stretch Therapy Specialist, Angela Berry, CPT, NASM, will conduct a detailed evaluation to assess where you have mobility and flexibility restrictions and develop a program individually tailored to meet your goals.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is designed to relieve symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction, restore mobility and movement, reduce pain, and improve muscle function.

Pelvic pain can be internal or external. It often coincides with a sense of tightness, painful sex, or difficult bowel/bladder habits. Along with an external exam, our pelvic health specialists can perform an internal exam to assess for tightness in the pelvic floor musculature.

Manual internal soft tissue release techniques can be performed to reduce tightness and pain. Self stretching and relaxation techniques will also be taught for you to do at home. When pain is resolved, your provider will teach you proper proprioceptive and strengthening exercises for full return to function.

Whether you’re pregnant and want to prepare your body for birth, want a less painful pregnancy, need support navigating the birthing world, or postpartum, experiencing symptoms of pain or dysfunction, or want confidence to return to exercise safely after birth, Peripartum Physical Therapy at Physio Lab is right for you.
